Old Marylebone
Town Hall
Wedding Photographer
London's most iconic registry office. Over 125,000 marriages have been celebrated since 1920. Isla Elodie captures the quiet beauty, the joyful steps, and every in-between moment at this legendary Grade II-listed venue.
About the Venue
A Love Story Written in Portland Stone
Commissioned in 1914 and designed by the celebrated architect Sir Edwin Cooper, Old Marylebone Town Hall is one of London's great Edwardian Baroque buildings. Work was halted by the First World War, and the building was finally completed in 1920 — its elegant Portland stone facade, monumental Corinthian columns and grand portico stepping straight from the pages of classical antiquity into the heart of modern London.
Listed Grade II in 1981 and sensitively restored in a major four-year refurbishment that concluded in 2018, the venue today sparkles inside and out. As Westminster Register Office, it has hosted over 125,000 civil ceremonies since its ceremonial rooms first opened in 1924 — making it the most celebrated registry office in Britain, and one of the most iconic wedding venues in the world.

The Ceremony Rooms
Seven Rooms, One Perfect Day
Each of the seven ceremony rooms has its own character and capacity — from the most intimate elopement to a grand gathering of a hundred. Every room features period Edwardian details: wood panelling, chandeliers, fireplaces, and windows that flood each space with natural light. Ceremonies typically run 15–20 minutes, with access for all via lifts.
The Westminster Room
Up to 100 guests
The grandest room in the building — beautiful oak panelling, soaring ceilings, generous natural light. My personal favourite for larger weddings. The photographs practically make themselves.
The Mayfair Room
Mid-size capacity
Bright, modern and elegant. A lighter, more contemporary feel compared to the other rooms — beautifully suited to a fresh, editorial style of photography.
The Pimlico Room
Up to 20 guest
One of the prettiest rooms in the building, with a warm painted interior and an intimate atmosphere that lends itself to close, emotional storytelling photography.
The Paddington Room
From 8 guests
The smallest and most private of the rooms — ideal for micro-weddings and elopements. A cosy, fireplace-centred space with deep Edwardian character
The Soho Room
Up to 13 guest
Cheerfully painted walls and a relaxed, characterful feel. A wonderful backdrop for couples wanting something with a little more personality.
The Knightsbridge Room
Up To 30 Guests
Refined and quietly elegant. The Knightsbridge room is a consistent favourite for the quality of its natural light and classic proportions.
Marylebone Room
Up to 12 guest
A stunning Georgian-inspired hall with high ceilings and generous proportions — well suited to larger guest lists who want a sense of drama and occasion.

Real Weddings at Marylebone Town Hall
A selection of moments captured at Old Marylebone Town Hall — from quiet vows inside the ceremony rooms to the exuberant confetti chaos on those iconic front steps.
Both Sides of the Camera
I've been photographing weddings at Old Marylebone Town Hall — the ceremony rooms, the famous steps, the cobbled mews nearby, the light that comes through the Westminster Room windows in the morning. I know this place intimately, not just as a photographer, but as someone who chose it for the most important day of my own life.
In 2026, I got married here. And standing on those steps myself, I understood all over again exactly why couples keep choosing this place — and exactly what moments a photographer absolutely cannot miss.
When you book me for your Old Marylebone Town Hall wedding, you're getting someone who has lived this day, not just photographed it.

What to Expect
Photography That Feels Like You
My style is a blend of documentary, natural lifestyle and editorial — which, for a Marylebone Town Hall wedding, is the perfect combination. The day moves quickly, the moments are real, and the setting is genuinely stunning. Here's how I approach it.
01
Documentary
I follow your day as it unfolds — the nerves before the ceremony, the laughter during the signing, the tears on the steps. Real moments, never staged.
02
Natural Lifestyle
When we step outside for portraits, I keep things relaxed and unhurried. A walk through the Marylebone mews, a quiet moment in Regent's Park — nothing that feels like a photoshoot.
03
Editorial
I have an eye for composition and light. The columns, the staircase, the steps — I'll use every beautiful corner of this building to give you images that feel considered and timeless.
04
The Iconic Shot
The confetti exit on those front steps is one of London's great wedding moments. I plan for it specifically — so when it happens, you'll have the photographs to match.
